Yikes. Hmm. My incredibly long list would LIKE to include the following.
In most cases, if I don't have every bloody song mentioned, then there
are also other TERRIFIC songs in the movie--and/or EVERY one in it is
potentially worthy of consideration. Ay-yi-yi.

And all the music from Nightmare Before Christmas & Corpse Bride, Melody Time & Make Mine Music...songs from the live-action films such as Pete's Dragon, Summer Magic, So Dear To My Heart, & The Happiest Millionaire. =) BUT OH DEAR, I WOULD ALREADY NEED TO WEED OUT ABOUT 64 TO EQUAL THE ORIGINAL LIST.
Not
to MENTION every song on any Disney Sing-Along volume that wasn't from a
full-length feature film. They could've been written for animated
shorts/cartoons (e.g., The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh), theme
park attractions, or what-have-you. ;P Or the themes for DuckTales, Goof
Troop, Darkwing Duck, TaleSpin, etc.
Didn't include The Brave Little
Toaster trilogy because they're outside the "core Disney canon,"
although they do have the Disney name on them, and provide several more
EXCELLENT songs!! And let us not forget the maaaaany amazing, completely
Disney-caliber songs of non-Disney films such as Anastasia, The Swan
Princess, All Dogs Go to Heaven--plus sequel and cartoon series,
FernGully, Tom & Jerry: The Movie, Charlotte's Web,We're Back: A Dinosaur's Story,
Spirit: Stallion of the Cimarron, An American Tail, The Land Before
Time--yes, some of the sequels to some of these DO have redeeming
characters and songs!! Aaaand Rock-a-Doodle, Thumbelina, The Pebble
& the Penguin......BLESS YOU, DON BLUTH.
PLUS, do yourself a
tremendous favor and watch Roadside Romeo. ;] I think that, for
thoroughness' sake, it is also prudent to note that just about every
Rankin/Bass stop-motion or traditionally animated feature contains
excellent Disney-quality song as well. Even picking your 'Top 50' of theirs would be a huge challenge. It's amazing when you think about
it. Pokemon, too, has given us so many wonderful songs. X-}
As
for Pixar? Well, obviously they're not being included for this...and
while I am jonesing for them to do a musical (if it isn't obvious, I'm a
HUGE freaking fan of movie and theatrical musicals), their films have
had numerous AWESOME songs and instrumental compositions on the
soundtracks as well.

A number of
soundtracks or individual songs are not available on Spotify...much sad,
very tragedy...but they're all easy to find via YouTube, if you don't
happen to own the soundtrack itself. PLAYLIST:

Starred
Playlists:
Road Trip Music--plus my whole Starred section!! / Road Trip Music--plus my whole Starred section!!
Broadway Cast Recordings / Broadway Cast Recordings
S'more Broadway Shows (+ 6 dozen or so others I queued, tehe)
/ SMBS
{found about 34 recordings I didn't own}
....and now that I finally have an iPhone, this one: 'LIKED FROM RADIO'
Over, 3,690 tracks in 8 playlists as of now.
...here, in 3 parts, are MY CDs AND CASSETTES.
The Pimsleur is Swedish. x3 Any albums/songs that be not specifically be on Spootyfy...be tragically and mysteriously missing. ;; Used to have a few other CDs in there (the mini Team Rocket one, Anne Murray's "What a Wonderful World" 2-disc, "Totally Pokemon...") Remember selling the latter two on Amazon but the first just went missing. D''8 Then there's all that gloriously epic Asian stuff that of course I can't even look up because, alphabet...the one of those I somehow lost was a green case/CD with a glass music box that resembled a perfume bottle, I think? And it was instrumental, with the first track being a melody I recognized but couldn't place. Still can't all these years later (which feel like months since I've been suspended in amber from the moment of high school graduation.) Jess said the same when I lent her my headphones and try to identify it...

This was tonsa fun...
It's just a shame that they never took it beyond 2008. Classmates.com let you choose your top ten favorite songs from the top ones of each year, going back to 1960. =D
As usual, have to right-click and open the pics in another tab or window in order to be able to zoom in and really see everything.
Also came up with another cool YouTube playlist--this one an ultimate collection of road trip songs!
And later on....I began compiling this. ;~3 (I ALWAYS have to refresh the entry for it to work!)
The theme songs listed are from the playlists for an "Identify the movie/show" game...obviously there are many great ones that would not be good candidates for the game because they give away the title too easily or early on. Also needs "Call On Me," "I Knew I Loved You," "Never Grow Up," "This Is It," "We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together," "Fifteen," "I Knew You Were Trouble," "Keep Holding On," "The Things We Lost In the Fire," "Lady," "Roar," "Move It Like This," "You Can't Always Get What You Want," "Three Times a Lady," "Not Ready to Make Nice," and whatever else is bizarrely missing--or whatever else is within my starred songs/followed artists/playlist albums on Spotify!
Update: Speaking of the above! Well, in December 2013 I discovered the magic of Spotify. (Account tinyurl.com/thesnwqnndjckfrstspootyfoy. Because the first thing I wanted to look for was the Frozen Deluxe soundtrack--to which I proceeded to listen a bajillion times--and Thesnowqueen was unavailable.) It's pretty awesome to be able to 'follow' lots of great artists, and find and listen to almost ANY song ever recorded by anyone...and almost ANY album. No searching around to see if the right version is on YouTube, and having to arrange them yourself. Brill! The only thing is that I can't put anything on the iPod because it doesn't have a whole lot of space left, and I cannot click on the "iPod" button that's supposed to become clickable when you plug the thing into the comp. Nor can I transfer anything into my music folder, so I'm pretty sure it wouldn't be able to go onto the iPod anyway. OH, WELLS. Playing almost anything through the comp (via Spotify or else YouTube) is cool enough.
